give me one good reason to title this, just one. make that 2.

so.
in a few minutes/hours, i will be going to g'ma's. then, before dawn tomorrow, i will be on my way to the airport, to arizona. where i will proceed to die of bordom, untill the very moment i spot my cousins. you know who you are. unles...cousins, you don't have amnsia, right? ok, great, we got that cleared up!
in tamora perices circle of maic: sandry's book, daja mentions a sorakku, a box kept on ships (in the book) full of food and water. i have a bordoem sorakku, aka a royal purple back pack that has seen better days. it contains
several never before read by me books, three mini notebooks, my TSOD binder-notebook, pens, ds, ds games, walkman, two audio books, and a teddy.
i think we are going now!
so before i go, i urge you to go to the 'autho'r section, click on 'sarah beth durst' and from there go to 'obscure fairy tale posts' they are soooo funny. i mean it.
random shirt i saw, #1: i can't....i'm mormon.(that was at youth con. i need one of those!)
#2: hiku's are pretty
but they sometimes don't make sense
refrigerator.
random thought: t'zikin(ZI-KEEN) is a pretty name.
anyway, more later.

i want chocolate

so i survived cub scout camp, just barely.
today, i walked up the hill, and i got a haircut. yes! i got a hair cut! i decided i didn't really want to get my hair done at camp, and besides, i won't have much time at camp, as i'll be on a 20 mile hike for most of the time. i know, 20 miles isn't much. you try doing that with
* weak ankles that get  hurt with the slightest stumble
* bunions
*heavy pack
* a dozen or so other girls that aren't big on waiting up. or talking about books.

so yeah.

today i'm going to be helping genun with his eagle scout project, and then i'm going to a pioneer day bbq. i'm gonna have fun with that.
i haven't been writing as much as i should be, on either of my little fantasy stories, but i have gotten a bit more. here is an excert from  The Stones of Destiny.

A tall, willowy woman stared out across the waters, gazing at the reflections of the stars. Her long blue hair was the color of the sea at night, nearly black, and smooth as silk. Another woman, this one shorter, with hair the color of a cherry tree's new blossoms, went to her.
"Sondra," The second woman called softly into the mist. "Sondra, is it time?"

"No, Bethaniee, the time is soon, but for now, Faerie is safe."
The woman stood, and stretched her wings, for she was not mortal, but a faerie, a member of the race mortals seemed to classify as nothing more than stories for children as they went to bed, heads filled with dreams of tomorrow. Her brow creased as she wondered how long her people had before the growing evil destroyed the peacefulness of her world. As if in answer to her question, a low boom echoed across the sea. It was over, after four long years, it was finally over. But the woman did not rejoice. This time, Good had not won; as she knew it would not.

"Bethaniee, Grace," Sondra whispered. "Gather the Guardians, and the Stones! The time is now!"
Grace, the third of the four faeries on The Island began to weep, softly, wind causing her light green tunic to billow. Everything else was still, as if in mourning, the stars dimmed, "Is- is the King…"

"Yes. The King has fallen. Faerie is all but destroyed," Sondra said sorrowfully. "There is little time left for us to work. To save Faerie, we must act now, and send the Guardians to Earth. This is the only way."

"Yes, I know," Grace whispered softly, wiping tears from her eyes.
Henna, a fourth faerie, the youngest of them, her long golden hair shining in the light of the moon, spoke up. "The Prophecy! Will it truly come to pass?" her amber eyes glowed with a combination of fear and hope.
“Yes,” Sondra told her, with grief in her voice. “All of it.”

"Has the time come at last?" Two voices from the shadows spoke at once as two golden shapes emerged to join the faerie.

"Oricy, Quinlan, yes, it is time," Bethaniee said, her voice a whisper.
Two more shapes, these a pale silver in color, coalesced from the darkness. "We are here," a soft, birdlike voice called out.
"Aruta, Karanna, come here, to the circle." Sondra instructed. She gestured to a carved circle, set in to the stone. Aruta, Oricy, Karanna, and Quinlan, the Guardians, gathered in the center of a stone sun, and the faeries began to chant:

"Moon of two worlds
Stars of four
Back to earth
Open your door
That those before you
May safely pass
This we ask, of you
Let it be so!”

After three times, the sun began to glow with a pale light, not quiet silver, not quite gold and the four Guardians vanished, each with a small, white box, each with a name set in gold.

this is only a rough draft, keep in mind

untitled is a funny word

well, my second day as a cub scout camp volenteer didn't kill me.. thats good, right?
and i'm about 2/3 done with ECLIPSE, the vampire books.
its good enough, but i still don't see what all these teenage girls seen in edward. i used to tease 'bella' by saying i liked jacobe. that would always make her exasperated, but now...well, i don't like him, but i like his caracter more than  ed's. so there. i guess i'm 'team jake' now...
i'm still on my avatar kick. wowowowowow! its that good. i see lots of amvs and tributes for it,on you tube, though not as many as for warrorcats or digimon...
so tcm and my mom are in tahoe at a music camp... dad's in walnut creek right now, and mr. and miss kitty are both prowling the night, sleek as panthers.
i believe i will go now, and sit in bed and read 'warrior heir'

random little post at 10:30

i love avatar! and thanks to Q for the link that sent me to the wonderfull webbie that enables me to watch all the episodes that have been aird thus far. i am nearly finnished with season two. yayay!!!!

update...

gosh..where to start?
i've been a lazy little girl...lets start with the forth.
i did not see fireworks. i saw multi-colored fogbanks. i ate many hotdogs, baked a cake, and went to the library.
the 5th
i had my second-and final-rehersal for the youth con. t'was very fun. i also had ice cream!
the 6th. i admit it. i broke the 4th comandment(yes, i know all the comandemnts, in order!) i went to see a movie. i saw WallE it was so cute. i love happyendings. the cockroch was very sweet.
the 7th
my friend holly and i went to see 'kung fu panda' i thought it would be childish . it WAS! but it was a wonderfull kind of childish, i enjoyed it. then we hung out on shadduct, stopping at mels for lunch, half price books, a bead store, where i bought so crystals that became a necklace-a very nice one if i do say so myself-that i gave to holly, and this tiny bookstore that sells only sci-fi and fantasy. needless to say, i'm going back very soon.
yesterday,
sean, jesse,(two of my neighbors) and tcm(upt) and i made another mini movie, that will be uploaded onto you tube shortly. it involves Jesse and tcm reading my 'diary'(a poetry notebook that says'journal' on it) amd me getiing angry. then we have a stage fight. sean did the filming. kudos to sean..
today.
i went to the bookstore, to pre-order  'dark whispers' by bruce coville.
back story:
DW is book three in a very good series, that i love. book to was written about 9 years ago.
i discoverd the series only about 5 years ago, so i haven't been waiting as long as some. but finaly, finaly, i got word that it was comming! i was very pleased. i've read parts of it on the webbi(see under authors 'bruce coville')
and it (DW) was due to come out the first. after waiting in line for eiternirty, the woman at 5the counter
told
me
that
they
already had it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so i bought it today. read the first 2 chapters...and told mom to hide it, to save it untill the big family reunion in AZ. how will i survive? i have othe books to tide me over though.

and i saw 'kit kittrage(?), an american girl' with my mom today. it was very , very good. and there's the fact that i have a SLIGHT crush on one of the actors..not that i'm telling you who!
i made my first ever pair of earings yesterday, turquoise balls with crystal. i gave them to gramma.
more news.
mom and i, after compleating dragon Slippers, though not Dragon flight, are reading 'fablehaven' together. i'm getting more out of the story, reading it aloud. its fun to stop at critical parts and poke her, just to see if she's paying attention.
sometimes comentary is included, often when seth does something stupid. that happens quite alot, now that i think about it...
i finished the Shamers cronicles, as well as the circle of magic quartet. other books i've read recently inclued
fablehaven....shhh, don't tell mom i've read ahead of her!
beka cooper: terrier
the story teller's daughter: a retelling of sharhazad
the shadow spinner (the story of The last few days of Sharhazad's story telling, from the POV of a common girl.)
and i just began 'goblins wood'
thats about it!

yawn.

i am sleepy.
today i walked up the hill. them rode my bike to meet up with shalay. we hung around downtome berkeley for a while, going into about a half-dozen book stores. then i bused home, and wached, like, 8 episodes, no, 9 episodes of Avatar. still not as bad as  my digimon kick last year. that was crazy. this is relitivly normal, and prbably just as shortlived. at least i'm not hopping up and down...yet.
i  also read part of the third 'shamer's daughter' books. its good so far....
and mom got me mine own copy of 'fablehaven'
speaking of getting books, at the BPL, they have this mini bookstore, sells books really cheap.
i found this one , first addtition, hardcover, book, in perfect condition. worth 15 bucks at b&n or amazon. got it for a buck! a buck!
i am one happy little girl.
and i just recalled that i have a chocolate bar under the forth shirt in the second drawer in my dresser! must be going!
anyway, more later!

multitasking!

im blogging, listening to 'listen to your heart' (warriorcats tribute. what can i say?)
and working on DOTW. speaking of dotw, i's turning out nicely, although its only gonna be about 30 pages long...better come up with some more middle. again, i know how it starts, and how it ends, but in between....yeah. i got nothing. stuff just pours out of my mind, slowly but surely. for some reason, all my stories involve poweroutages and storms... huh.
i just finnished watching disk 4 of my new fave tv show, Avatar: the last airbender.
must go to elephant pharmacy and get disk 5.
ooooh! 'seasons of love (warriorcats again) is playing. donch just LOVE youtube? i sure do.
last night, with tasha, i wove a bit, and watched 'the goonies'
i LOVED it. LOVE, LOVE, LOVED it!

and i made cookies. only i, uh, fried them.
they were very crispy!
wanna very brown...uh, ok, black, cookie? anyone? anyone at all?
song change! now its 'because of you' digimon: hikari tribute/amv.
this is fun, but mr cat wants out.
anyway, more later!

a whole lot of nothing much

uh...
i went to the BPL yesterday. got a couple books.
dragonhaven
ranger's apprentice
shamer's daughter
outriders: expidition to blue cave.
read them all.
loved them all
must go to library to find others . most of the books(well, all of them bisides dragonhaven) have sequels.
i love sequels.  new story, with the same characters. charaters you already know , and love to hear more about.
anyway.
hhmmm.
my little kitty, lucy, hurt her paw! we don't know how, we think maybe its a thorn, but she won't let us touch it. she sleeps on my bed now, hogging the whole middle. i have to curve around her. that makes her feel safe, i assume.
tcm and my mom are both reading 'the sisters grimm' a really good series. i have a link on this blog to the website, click under 'authors' 'micheal buckley'
i found out, via wikipedia, that there's gonna be a movie, set to come out around 2010. not sure if its just a rumor, since there was nothing on the website to back that up, but it sounds intersting.
it would make a good movie, plenty of action, and a 200 pound dog.
oh yeah, and praticly every fairytale character you can think of.not all, mind you. but most of the popular ones.
i still can't get over  the fact that Snow White is a karate instructor. thats just funny. i mean, the disney Snow is so calm and innocent, its just creepy. i love this snow. she is, as daphne grimm would say, 'so punk-rock'
what else?a new swing was put up, in place of The Swing, but the rope is so much shorter, and on a lower branch, that you swing maybe a yard. if you push of the ground really hard. the old swing, you swung out (ok, i confess. i know measyurements, how many feet in a yard, mile, inches in a foot, ect. but i don't KNOW how long a foot is. i can't tell how far away somthing is by looking at it. its either far away, not far away, or in the middle. i admitt it!)  at least10 feet.(i measuerd the distens, sort of. i use'd my self as a 'little bit less than 5 foot stick' rather than go home and get a yard stick.)
more often i'd go about 15 feet. but now....
and you don't even go fast, like The Swing. it's lame. i should be greatfull, for jhaveing any swing at all. but i'm not. i miss The Swing. it moments on that old Swing, where i swear it felt like i was flying, that i felt most at home, most ...free. is that strange? yes, it is, but it's true, while i was soaring on that long blue rope, my fears and sorrows just seemed to slide away.  and now its gone.
oh my gosh, mommy deer and her two little fawns are outside the window, being really cute.
i named them.
mommy, Spot, and Dot.
Spot has a darker marking under his/her ear, and dot is smaller.
